“Shri Tilak Raj Dhawan Educational & Charitable Trust”, the patronage body of Delhi Engineering College, is a strong believer of the fact that now is the time to achieve things ahead of time. It is only our thoughts, words and deeds that are appreciated by others and Praised by the Nation and the World which is in fact the actual way of enjoying the Honor. If one has a good heart by nature, one will get special respect from everyone and special treatment everywhere in the world. To achieve such a status one should realize what is one's Self, the World, the Nature and God and live according to natural justice or eternal order in the world. To such a person, whether the status in the society is high or low, one needs not be a slave to anyone and can lead a straight forward and bold life in the world. Soaring high to sublimity can be possible only by persons of this type in the world. But others also, by realizing the nature of life in the world and the Self, can soar high to sublimity whenever possible to redeem themselves and rejuvenate their inner spirits.

The vision of the promoting body, (the Trust) is to impart quality education with high standards par excellence in Engineering and Technology, to provide an excellent infrastructure in a serene and conducive atmosphere that would motivate the students in the pursuit of knowledge in Engineering and Technology

The mission of the promoting body, (the Trust) is :

Working with the missionary zeal, he has effectively used his skills for the establishment and management of various professional Educational Institutions that compare with the Best in the country and abroad.

His dream of world-class institutions materialized with the establishment of Haryana Engineering College, Jagadhri in 1998. The encouragement and overwhelming response, paved way for creation of other professional institutions in the following years, to impart quality education. His dedication and commitment to the cause ensured creation of other professional Institutions. Thousands of students and their parents who were fortunate to have any of the established colleges under his guidance, as their alma meter would be grateful to him for his contribution in the field of Professional Education.

A Director known for his Techno-Administrator abilities, Prof. Mahendra Singh Rana, an erudite professional with more than 33 years of insightful experience in the areas of General Administration, Technical, Teaching and Instructional Administration in various sectors like Defence, PSU, Corporate, Service, Education etc.

An aeronautical Engineer from Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh had acquired various post graduation specializations in Aeronautical-Mechanical Engineering from Air Force Technical College, Bangalore as well.

Had served in Indian Air Force (28 years) as Command Engineering Officer & Chief Engineering Officer and has to his credit Flying & Engineering support to French helicopters and IL-76 heavy transport aircraft. He has been pioneer in establishing and heading Engineering & Technical Training Institutes in IAF for pilots, engineers & technicians. He also comes with a vast experience of corporate sector which includes companies like Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd. Bangalore, Adani Group and various telecom companies.

As most of you must be aware that the last two decades have witnessed tremendous amount of development in the field of communication, computers, solid state devices and material science technologies, the advancement in these fields is mind-boggling. Integration of computer and communication has brought about the concept of Global Village where the physical boundaries of nations have blurred, identifying the present century as an era of information revolution. This revolution encompasses almost all disciplines of engineering. The growth in these fields has been phenomenal owing to instant access of any type of information through internet and variety of communication media available at present.

As per the current Industrial scenario, INDIA is the among the Fastest Growing market for the Engineers of all major fields. The growth starts from setting up of the Manufacturing Plants of Major Global OEMS to the Establishment of the High End Research and Development Centers. This ensures that there is an ever increasing demand of highly technical manpower to meet the challenges of the technical growth in 21st century. Towards this, DEC ensures a small contribution by imparting the Quality Education with emphasis on Practical systems.
